Ecological tomato production: small farm alternative introduction study

The central object of the present study is to do an economic appraisal of two type of ecological tomato production: the farm level and greenhouse. The analysis allows infer that either of those systems of ecological production are economically feasible, because they have a high return over the initial investment. It is possible to recover the investment in last of a year. Beyond it, the cultivation in greenhouse can be extended to couple with other types of horticulture products using the same facilities.
