Abstract

Ten hybridomas secreting monoclonal antibodies (Mabs) were produced to bovino herpesvirus type 5 (BHV- 5) antigens. The hibridomas were selected with basis on their capacity to bind to cells infected with isolates of bovino encephalitis herpesvirus (BHV-5), in immunoperoxidase (IPX) tests. Nine of lhe ten Mabs recognized antigens on 10/10 isolates tested. The remainder Mab recognized antigens on nine out of ten BHV-5 samples.
