Variabilidade genética para proteína e rendimento de grãos em populações de feijão
Genetic variability fo protein and grains yield in common bean populations
Abstract
The objective of this study was to identified common bean segregant populations with high protein content and high grain yield as well as the possible correlation of these characteristics. Crossings were performed inside a greenhouse using the complete diallel approach, among four parents (TPS Nobre, Guapo Brilhante, BRS Expedito and UTF-1 field during Balisa). spring/summer The populations 2003/04, obtained using (parents, a complete F1’s, randomized F1’s reciprocals, experimental F2’s and blocks backcrossing) design with were two assessed replications. in the
The protein content and grains yield were determined in the 28 populations. The results did not showed genetic variability for protein content in the populations. Every populations showed high protein content. Then significant differences was observed in segregant population for grain yield. Negative correlation between protein content and grain yield was observed. Three groups to content protein were formed with 55% genetic dissimilarity.
