ICTIOFAUNA OF MAQUINÉ RIVER MOUTH, TERRA DE AREIA, RIO GRANDE DO SUL, BRAZIL

The present study was carried out in 1984 and 1985, in the Maquiné river mouth to Quadros lagoon. In 10 collecting samples, 6422 fishers of 31 genera, belonging to 18 families, and 6 orders were obtained. Cyphocharax voga (biru) contributed with 2017 specimens. Three species of commercial importante were collected: Hoplias malabaricus (traíra), Rhamdia aff. quelen (jundiá) Odonthestes sp. (peixe-rei). Other 13 genus showed sazonal influente.
