Women in Agrarian Sciences
The journal Pesquisa Agropecuária Gaúcha (PAG) invites the scientific community to submit articles on the participation of women in Women in Agrarian Sciences, based on bibliographic data or empirical evidence (interviews, questionnaires, etc.) articulated with the authors’ research line or area of expertise.
We welcome papers that critically examine the presence and contributions of women across different dimensions of the agricultural sector, including:

economic and social relevance

gender equity in access to work opportunities
-
occupation of leadership and decision-making positions
-
participation in research, development, and innovation
-
access to scholarships, funding, and financial support
-
scientific and technical productivity
-
and other aspects that highlight the transformative role of women in rural contexts.
This call for papers is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 — Gender Equality — and aims to encourage reflections and evidence that promote recognition and visibility of women’s contributions to agriculture.
We particularly encourage the submission of review articles.
Manuscripts involving interviews or questionnaires must include approval from an Ethics Committee.

In the Cover Letter, authors must explicitly indicate that the manuscript is being submitted for this special issue on Women in Agrarian Sciences.
