Guidelines for authors

ATTENTION: From issue 28 of PAG 2022 on, the articles must be published in English. They may be submitted in Portuguese, but as from the acceptance of the manuscript, it must be translated into English by the authors for future editing and publication.  This change is necessary for the future indexing of the PAG in international indexers. Articles in English have greater potential for viewing and citation, being positive for the authors and for the journal.

Authors who are not native English speakers need to submit a corrected and certified English language version, by native speaker, for accepted papers.

  • Attached Cover Letter, including a statement from the author of correspondence on behalf of him/herself and the other co-authors, mentioning potential conflicts of interest, that the work has not been previously published nor simultaneously submitted for publication in another journal and that the authors agree with the submission, content and transfer of the publication rights of the article in question to PAG.
  • Included in the Cover Letter the names and institutional email addresses of several potential reviewers.

Peer review

This journal operates on a double-blind review process.  See more at: http://revistapag.agricultura.rs.gov.br/ojs/index.php/revistapag/revisao

Ensuring the blind review:

To ensure the integrity of blind peer review for submission to PAG, every effort must be made to avoid the identities of authors and reviewers being known to each other. This involves authors, editors and reviewers (who upload documents as part of their review) checking that steps have been taken regarding the text and file properties in:

http://revistapag.agricultura.rs.gov.br/ojs/index.php/revistapag/blind-review

Policies on ethics in research with human beings or animals

PAG Journal will only accept submissions with the approval number of the Ethics Committee for studies involving human beings, including studies with questionnaires. Likewise, in case of studies with experimental animals and/or genetically modified organisms, the authors shall include in the declaration, under their full responsibility, that the work has authorization by the Ethics and/or Biosafety Commissions and/or Research Ethics Committee, together with the approval number.
